Brilliant ruby red with garnet nuances. Perfume of wild berries, pomegranate, plums and herbaceous notes reminiscent of the macchia mediterranea (Mediterranean bushes). The seductive progression of perfume introduces elegant notes of leather and tobacco. It is warm, soft and enveloping to the palate. A perfect balance between acidity and tannins.

It pairs well with strong-flavored Italian salami, pasta dishes with flavorful tomato sauces, red meat roasts and game. Is excellent with lamb, the typical 'porceddu' sardo (suckling pig on a spit Sardinian-style), Fiore sardo (kind of Sardinian cheese) and other local aged pecorino cheese.

The old vines are cultivated cultivated on sandy soil very close to the water with the alberello (small tree) style, which here means less than a foot and a half tall. Each vine produces just one bunch per year. The result is a truly superior strong wine which is sure to please the connoisseur looking for a honest, fruity, palatable wine.

Open at least two hours before serving at 18°-20°C (64.4°-68°F).
