Loris Scagliarini – November 20, 2008
On November 12, 2008, at San Francisco's Golden Gate Yacht Club, the tenth Italian Flavor Forum, dedicated in particular to presenting the Centellino Areadivino, the amazing top-of-the-bottle aerator which oxygenates the wine naturally and in real time, officially to the local press. The Centellino, designed and produced in Italy by Table Top and imported to the US by WineCountry.IT L.L.C., opens the aroma and flavor of a wine while it pours into the glass, obtaining results comparable to letting the wine breathe for a couple of hours in a regular decanter.

Loris Scagliarini – May 20, 2008
The staff of WineCountry.IT had the opportunity to get to know the wine buyers and distributors who visited the show better. In addition, the event was honored by the visit of the new Italian Consul General, Fabrizio Marcelli, who recently took office and is responsible for the West Coast consular jurisdiction, which includes an area many times the size of Italy, expanding from California to Alaska, Washington state, Oregon, Utah, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii.
We had a long chat about the current state of the import business, which has been hit badly by the drop in value of the dollar, making everything imported more expensive, at a time when the US economy is in dire straits.

Golden Gate Yacht Club, San Francisco, CA
Loris Scagliarini – November 24, 2006
The Italian Flavor Forum VI, or our sixth invitation-only trade show organized in the San Francisco Bay Area, took place on November 21, 2006 at the Golden Gate Yacht Club, located at the end of the pier at One Yacht Road, in the heart of the Marina district. The weather was gorgeous and it was a pleasure looking out the windows at the bay, with the rock of Alcatraz to the right and the glowing orange structure of the majestic Golden Gate Bridge to the left. Actually, it was so hot through the glass windows that poor Lionello Rosso, owner of Poderi Rosso and producer of the excellent Barberas d'Asti DOC, as well as of the gorgeous Barbera and Cabernet Sauvignon Monferrato Doc Infinito (Endless), had to ask for some kind of shading, as his back was to the west in the bright sunny afternoon.

For the Italian Flavor Forum V we returned to one of our favorite locations by the San Francisco Bay, the Golden Gate Yacht Club, located at the end of the pier at One Yacht Road, in the heart of the Marina district.
We enjoy the place so much, and the comments from our guests were so positive that we have already reserved the Commodore room for the Italian Flavor Forum VI, to be held on November 21, 2006.

Loris Scagliarini – January 13, 2006
When I awoke the morning of Wednesday, January 11, 2006 the rain was drumming down on the roof of our wooden bungalow and I felt my heart sink. Nonetheless, always the positive thinker that I am, I told myself that that was just what the weather report had said: rain at night and into the morning, by noon turning to cloudy and, by 3:00 PM, the sun would actually show up. Looking out the window at the little stream running through our backyard, I saw the muddy water was running fast and was close to overflowing. I had to make an effort to keep my spirits up.

Loris Scagliarini – October 27, 2005
Wednesday, October 19, 2005 was an unusual beautiful sunny day for this time of year in San Francisco. The sky was blue and there was no trace of the fog that had enveloped the Bay the day before and would the day after, to hide the fabolous view of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz or the Marin Headlands across the bridge. We took it as a very good omen for the Italian Flavor Forum II.
